journalism vs blogging

I believe that journalism and blogging are very much alike both exercising the importance of free speech. There really are no limits to either one of the writing techniques. Both express different views such as personal, political, or scientific. Neither writing techniques restrict the author to one topic or idea which allows the author to write as much as they want but, with that freedom obviously comes criticism. Not everyone who reads the authors article is going to enjoy their stand or opinion on a certain topic so the author must be open to criticism. Like they always say, "If you can dish it, you can take it".
